following month. After a whole lotta messin' around, ride continues
through Lafayette with another stop in Moraga, maybe at Si Si Cafe,
maybe at Bianca's for refreshments. Then homeward up Pinehurts

Berkeley to Davis
Meet 8:00 a.m. at N Berkeley BART for a prompt 8:10 departure. Or
meet 8:30 at Spruce and Grizzly. Ride a delightfully flat route to
Davis -- there are a few hills, but the farther we ride, the
flatter it gets. Tandem-friendly, too. Tailwinds not promised, but
are typical. Separate leaders for TM and M contingents. Eat while
you pedal; eat at a picnic table in Winters; eat, drink, and be
merry on the party train back to Berkeley. Note that we will have
few and short stops in the first 70 mi --picnicing and partying are
reserved for Winters and beyond -- so carry your morning caffeine
on the bike. Bring at least two water bottles (or equivalent),
BYOB, BYOC, and bring cash for your Amtrak ticket for the return.
Rain or 20% chance cancels; phone leader by 9:00 p.m. the night
before if any doubt. M group leader: Mark Abrahams, (510) 524-1294.
