Sat-Sun Jun 7-8 3/LT/35 each day Santa Cruz Beach Crawl Weekend Campout
Join us for two days of leisurely unloaded riding on the backroads of Santa Cruz county. Saturday's ride heads inland through the redwoods to Pinto Lake near Watsonville; Sunday we ride through the foothills and return along the Santa Cruz waterfront. Camp at New Brighton State Beach, with restaurant meals in town. Optional camping and karaoke on Friday night. You're also welcome to come down and join us just for Saturday's ride; contact leader for directions. Camping fee $20. Space is limited, so contact Doug for details or to sign up. Sun Jun 8 4/TM/50 Tunitas Creek
Meet Phil and Janet at 9:30 a.m. at Woodside Town Hall (2955 Woodside Rd at Whiskey Hill Rd) for a ride to and up the fabled Tunitas Creek Rd. Total elevation gain is 5000 feet. We will climb Old La Honda Rd, drop down to Pescadero for lunch (after climbing Haskin's Hill), climb over Stage Rd to San Gregorio, ascend Tunitas Creek Rd and drop down King's Mtn to the start. Thu-Sun Jun 12-15 Tahoe Training Series
Join fellow Grizzlies and other cyclists for this annual mountain training series. We will move just north of Lake Tahoe this year, exploring some new back roads and climbs near Quincy (home of the beautiful Summer Solstice Century). Each day will offer shorter T_TM (30-60 mi) and longer M routes (60-100 mi) with more climbing. You are welcome to join for any number of days.
